Welcome to Rainbow Counselling North Wales
Sarah Blay MBACP (Accred), EMDR UK
I began my counselling journey in 2008 and became fully qualified in 2012. Since then, I’ve worked with a wide range of issues — from short-term, solution-focused guidance to longer-term support for grief, trauma, and personal growth.
My special interest is in trauma and rape and sexual abuse, shaped by seven years with the Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre, where I gained invaluable experience and specialist training.
I am a qualified Couples and relationship Therapist, offering support to couples who want to improve communication, rebuild trust or strengthen their connection.
I’m passionate about helping people from all walks of life gain insight, strength, and empowerment through an empathic and supportive therapeutic relationship. My approach is warm, accepting, and grounded in continuous professional learning and supervision with highly skilled practitioners.
Counselling can be a powerful way to make sense of life’s challenges and find new ways to cope. At Rainbow Counselling, I draw on a variety of evidence-based approaches, tailoring each session to the individual’s needs.
Rainbow Counselling is fully qualified, regulated, and supervised — and members of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP Accred), and Eye Movement Desensitisation reprocessing UK (EMDR UK).
If you’d like to know more or arrange an appointment, please get in touch by email or phone — I’ll aim to respond promptly and do check spam for replies.
Warm regards,
Sarah
